Summary

The design features a 555 timer simple application in which it manipulates the sequence of LED lighting. It is a low power that can last longer even with small energy source. It guarantees a 500kHz for high-speed application and adjustable duty cycle. The operating supply voltage ranges from 3V to 16V, which is fully compatible with automotive application.


The design is comprised of an ICM7555 general purpose CMOS timer that generates pulse for LED light control. The 1N4148TA is small signal diode used for rectifying forward current. The resistors are for the voltages that are used for triggering the LED and internal comparators of the component.


This design is applicable to different LED control in which it maximizes the timer capability. It is suitable as an evaluation circuit for those people who want to learn the basic lighting control.
