The WEBCARDLX web management accessory card secures web-based access of UPS system. It features enhanced UPS management and control that remotely monitors site electrical data, UPS self-test logs, and alert logs. It logs power events like blackouts, brownouts and overvoltage conditions. It also reboots locked network equipment without disrupting power to other loads.
The design application demonstrates the primary function of web management accessory card in which it is interfaced with the customer UPS board. It monitors and controls the customer device through its UPS. The web management accessory card enables remote management via SNMP, web, SSH or Telnet, sends user-configurable alerts via SNMP or email. It is running through HTML5-based interface- no Java required. The permission sets and interface access can be configured for each user from full administrator to view-only operator. Real-time clock support maintains current day and date even after a UPS shutdown. NTP (Network Time Protocol) support enables automatic updates to the real-time clock from an NTP server. Multiple protocols are supported, including IPv4, IPv6, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, Telnet, SSH, FTP and DHCP. DHCP/Manual configuration support enables network settings to be assigned automatically or manually.
The design application is not limited to UPS monitor and control management. It is also applicable in different power management system such as home automation and industrial equipment control.
