No description available.

This basic application of temperature monitoring features a digital temperature sensor that can be interfaced via Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C). It has an accuracy of ±0.2°C at temperatures of -5°C to +50°C and still can be adjusted upon request. It has a low current consumption of approximately <420 µA (standby <0.14 µA).

The design is comprised of G-NIMO-003 digital temperature sensor that senses the temperature reading of the surroundings. The microcontroller analyzes the data provided by the digital temperature sensor and generates digital signals to be displayed on the LCD module. The variable resistor is provided in the LCD in order to manipulate its brightness. The two pull-up resistors are provided in the I2C connections to make sure that the digital signal is transmitted and received in correct logic.

The design is useful to system that requires a very accurate test and measurement on temperature. It can be integrated to a larger system that utilizes I2C communication between its sensors. It can be used for evaluation and experiments related to embedded system.
