Electronic locks have been used to various applications that involves high security. It is a locking device that operates by means of electric current. This project is electronic lock that requires digital code to trigger the unlock/lock function.
The main part of the device is the AT89C2051 Microcontroller that acts as the brain of the circuit. It is programmed to receive input signals and generate an assigned output accordingly. The input is a 4x3 keypad matrix; its every button is interpreted by the microcontroller as an assigned number/character. When sequences of numbers are pressed and matches the stored codes (codes can be reprogrammed), the output of the project toggles the lock/unlock PIN.
