A thermometer is an instrument used to measure the temperature of a certain body. It has two parts, the sensing part and the indicator part (visual value output). This project is an electronic thermometer, electronic components are used to detect and display the output.
This project uses UAA170 LED driver as the main component of the device. This IC will drive a series of LEDs (Light Emitting Diode) depending on the input voltages. A thermistor is configured at pin 11 (control voltage), it is used as temperature detector, and it is a resistor that varies its resistance according to the ambient temperature. An additional photoresistor is configured at pins 14 and 16 for the LED brightness function; it adjusts as the ambient light changes.
